Gone Canoeing
LOCATION: Da-o Balay Kawilan and Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp Dulag, Leyte
After the busy schedule we had for the past couple of weeks we decided to have some downtime and just relax. We "closed shop" and gone canoeing, or more correctly kayaking, since we used 2-blade paddles. Because we were creating memories we decided to let the kids skip school, haha.
We had the place all to ourselves! It was so serene and quiet - one of the reasons why we went on a weekday.
Once we entered Da-o Balay Kawilan, we saw endless vine-covered sand with pretty flowers. I don't know if these flowers bloom year-round or just for this season, i never noticed them before.
The staff at Da-o Balay Kawilan were so helpful that when they saw me picking flowers, they decided to help and gave me a whole bunch. It kept on coming until i told them that i had enough.
They even made me a headdress out of those vines...sweet 💕.
We've been to this place a couple of times but this was the first that we've used their kayaks...so much fun, try it!
His reward for taking most of the shots... and yup he is "The Photographer".
This sweet spot is pretty much shallow but you need to paddle thru deep waters first before you can get here.
They have floating cottages to rent and if massages are your thing, they've got you covered.
My skirt got wet when i waded thru the water, i didn't mind though; but in case you do, bring extra clothes or better yet, wear a swimsuit.
Oh, and the beach is just a holler away from the floating cottages. You can either walk or paddle to get there.
That is it guys, hope you like it. See you next time...
